The official website for the feature film Last Ride, directed by Glendyn Ivin and starring Hugo Weaving and Tom Russell. The site includes news, a gallery, cast and crew biographies, the theatrical trailer and behind the scenes videos. The film is beautiful and is fairly sparse in terms of scenery and dialogue, so it’s appropriate that the website matches.
The director Glendyn Ivin, was a pleasure to work with and actually had a big part in the way the site looked — the background images are photos he took during the period that they shot the film.
He also came up with the idea of having a KML file that you can import into Google Earth, which features words and images of locations that the main characters, Kev and Chook, travel through in the film.
